HIbernians returned to winning ways as a goal by Giannis Bastionos handed them a narrow win over Gudja United at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Sunday.
The Paolites now share the fifth place with Mosta and Birkirkara on ten points, seven behind the leaders and three behind Marsaxlokk and Sliema. Gudja, on the other hand, remain third from bottom on four points as they continue to chase their first win.
Hibs scored the all-important goal three minutes in the second half when off a cross from the left, Giannis Bastianos beat goalkeeper Yaren Sozer.
To make matters for Gudja, Karl Micallef was sent off fifteen minutes from time, leaving his side in ten men.
