Ahead of the last UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier against England, Michele Marcolini, the head coach of Malta’s national teams, has finalized the squad of 24 players. This match, scheduled for November 17th at Wembley Stadium, serves as the concluding national team fixture for the year 2023.
Standing out among the notable inclusions is Kemar Reid of Floriana, included for the first time. He officially became a Maltese citizen through naturalization on October 27, 2023.
Goalkeeper Jake Galea, Jake Vassallo, Juan Corbalan, Dunstan Vella, Brandon Paiber, Myles Beerman, Jake Grech, Alex Satariano and Jurgen Degabriele were therefore dropped from the squad ahead of this trip.
The roster is set to gain further strength as players from foreign leagues begin to integrate into the national team between Sunday and Monday.
