School visit for Women’s national team coach and player ahead of UEFA Women’s Nations League double-header

The Women’s National Team Head Coach Manuela Tesse was joined by National Team player Charlene Zammit early on Friday for a school visit at the Immaculate Conception Secondary School in Tarxien.

This event was part of the build-up and preparation culminating in the coming days ahead of the final UEFA Women’s Nations League encounter for the girls in this cycle and the realistic possibility of an unprecedented top spot in Group C1 leading to promotion to Group B.

Malta faces Latvia in the final encounter on home territories on Tuesday 5th December, ensuing their trip to Moldova to play the home side on Friday next week, as part of this double fixture, final matches in competition for the Women’s National Team.

The side led by coach Manuela Tesse is currently on maximum points at the summit of the standings from four matches, with Latvia five points adrift on seven points.

Both coach Manuela Tesse and player Charlene Zammit took the opportunity during this visit to promote Women’s football.

Charlene Zammit, who is also the Physical Education teacher at the school, highlighted the importance of these two matches and the possibility of achieving their target of securing this unique and historic promotion to League B of competition.

Player Zammit also outlined the sensational feeling of pride and responsibility she carries when representing her country, also urged the students to make their way to the Centenary Stadium on Tuesday 5th December, and roar loudly for the girls in their pursuit of writing history.
