Balzan notched the equaliser in stoppage time to stop Gudja United from obtaining their first win as the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
This was the fifth draw for Gudja in eight matches while Balzan rescued a point after suffering back-to-back defeats to Birkirkara and Naxxar.
Following a goalless first half, Gudja managed to take the lead courtesy of an Abou Toure penalty.
Substitute Jake Grech levelled matters for Balzan on the 71st minute but eight minutes later, Matias Muchardi restored the lead for Jesmond Zammit’s side.
However, one minute in added time, Leonardo da Silva de Souza restored equilibrium for Balzan.
Balzan had Momcilo Raso sent off deep in stoppage time.
