Marsa scored two late goals to hold Tarxien Rainbows in a 3-3 draw at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in one of four matches from the BOV Challenge League on Sunday. For the Rainbows, this was the fifth successive draw.
Paul Lapira put Marsa ahead on the 35th but Tarxien equalised three minutes from the end of the first half thanks to Siraj Arab Eddin. Santiago Moracci made it 2-1 eleven minutes in the second half and Tiago Adan Fonseca extended the lead on the 75th. However David Xuereb reduced the gap on the 89th and Augusto Rene Caseres notched the equaliser one minute in added time.
A goal by Yuto Morita seven minutes from the end of the first half handed Pieta’ Hotspurs a narrow win over Msida St. Joseph at the Victor Tedesco Stadium while at the Centenary Stadium, goals by Keith Vella on the 16th and Sebastian Perdomo Esquivel handed Senglea Athletic a 2-0 win over Zejtun Corinthians.
In another match, Yanis Tonna scored the all-important goal for Zebbug Rangers on the 64th minute at the Centenary Stadium to beat Swieqi United 1-0.
