Sliema Wanderers defeated Hibernians 1-0 in a direct clash for third place at the National Stadium on Sunday.
Thanks to these three points, the Wanderers re-join Marsaxlokk in third place on 16 points, four behind second-placed Hamrun Spartans and one ahead of Naxxar Lions. Hibernians now share the sixth place with Balzan and Birkirkara.
Dennis Kouao scored the all-important goal for the Blues on the 67th minute with a shot from the edge of the area which beat goalkeeper Ibrahim Kone.
