A goal two minutes in added time by substitute Lorenzo De Grazia made the whole difference as Floriana defeated eternal rivals Valletta 1-0 at the National Stadium on Sunday to move three points clear on top the BOV Premier League table.
The Greens, therefore, extended their unbeaten record to nine matches with a third successive win. Valletta, on the other hand, continue to share the tenth place with Mosta on 10 points, one behind Gzira. They have now gone four matches without a win.
As the game seemed heading for a goalless draw, the Greens had other thoughts as following a good move on the left by Kemar Reid who had a first attempt blocked, he served Lorenzo De Grazia who slotted the ball past Jake Galea from close range.
