Malta was drawn with the representatives of Croatia, Italy and Romania as the UEFA Regions’ Cup qualifying draws has set groups for the preliminary and intermediate rounds as the European amateur competition returns for the 2024/25 edition.
The Malta representatives will be playing in Group 8 which will be played in Italy.
In all, 36 associations have entered, with Malta and San Marino fielding national amateur teams and the rest to be represented by regional selections that win their country’s qualifying competitions. Albania will enter a side for the first time while Armenian representatives will return after last taking part in 2010/11.
In previous editions of the competition, Malta took part with either a Malta national amateur team or the Gozo XI.
