As the light goes out on group stages of UEFA European club competitions this week, the Malta FA is also represented with a team of local match officials assigned to officiate a UEFA Youth League match.
All will happen on Tuesday at an early afternoon kick-off in France for the contest between RC Lens of France facing at-home Spanish side Sevilla FC.
This match will represent another 90 minutes of experience on the international platform, for FIFA badge local referee Matthew De Gabriele, assigned to officiate this contest, assisted by more local match officials, wherein joined by Jurgen Spiteri and Shaun Calleja as his Assistant Referees for the 90 minutes right ahead in France.
The fourth official has been assigned by the local federation, appointing French referee Marc Bollengier to assist the trio of local (Maltese) match officials.
