The Southseasiders took the lead on the 15th minute when off a cross by Jacob Walker, Nikolai Muscat’s effort was blocked by goalkeeper Georgi Kitanov and Anthony Abah Obonogwu slotted the ball home from close range.

Floriana levelled matters five minutes in the second half when off a assist by Ulises Arias from the left, Kemar Reid’s low shot was blocked and off the rebound, Carlo Zammit Lonardelli hit home past Marko Drobnjak.

Eight minutes later, the Greens forged ahead. Carlo Zammit Lonardelli sent Ulises Arias through and the latter slotted the ball past the Marsaxlokk goalkeeper.

However, on the 65th, the score was draw once again as Yago Ramon Sousa Gomes headed the ball home off a freekick from the left by Leandro Aguirre.

The game seemed heading for a draw but Floriana had other thoughts as five minutes in added time, Kemar Reid, served on the left, managed to slot the ball past Drobnjak to hand Mauro Camoranesi’s side a dramatic win.
