Marsaskala Futsal maintain progress

Marsaskala Futsal maintained their recente progress as they defeated the Maltese Under-18 selection 4-2.

It was no easy game for the Southseasiders with the Malta youths keeping their cool against their most experienced opponents.

Amir Ashtiyani, Craig Pickard, Owen Duca and Alessio Restuccia were on target for Marsaskala while Maximilian Tomasuolo and Luca Suda replied for the Maltese Under-18 selection.

Sliema Futsal registered their first win after beating neighbours Gzira United Santa Margherita 5-4. It was a very balanced game between the bottom two teams. By the end of the first half, the Maroons were leading 3-2 but in the second half, the Blues improved and turned the score in their favor. Wissam El Zaredi and Rajed Najem scored twice each for Sliema with Faisal Alnakuoo also among the scorers. Felipe Andres Aguilera notched a double for Gzira with Clayton Micallef and Nazzareno Abela adding more goals for their team.
