Mtarfa moved six points clear in Group A of the IZIBET Amateur League as they scored deep into stoppage time to defeat second-placed Qrendi 1-0 in a top-of-the-table clash at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Kurt Borg scored the all-important goal six minutes in added time.
In another match, Rabat Ajax defeated Siggiewi 2-0 thanks to goals by Andy Paul Camilleri on the half hour and Aidan Azzopardi on the 69th.
