Zabbar St. Patrick joined Melita on top the BOV Challenge League Top 6 table after being held in a 1-1 draw by Pieta’ Hotspurs at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Sunday.
David Oliveira Souza put the Saints ahead after just two minutes but Hibiki Mochizuki equalised on the 59th.
Melita and Zabbar lead the way with 37 points, followed by Pieta’ on 31, Senglea 30, Marsa 29 and Zurrieq 27.
In the Play-Out group, Luqa St. Andrew’s came from behind to beat Attard 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium. Bledi Alla converted a penalty on the 15th to put Attard ahead but Camilo Andres Sanchez Gonzales equalised on the 28th and then notched a dramatic winner two minutes in added time.
In the other two matches, St. Andrews and Swieqi United shared the spoils in a goalless draw at the Centenary Stadium, the same as Tarxien Rainbows and Zejtun Corinthians did at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
In the Play-Out, Fgura lead the way with 29 points, followed by Lija and Swieqi on 25, Luqa 22, Tarxien 21, Zejtun 18, St. Andrews and Zebbug 13, Attard 8 and Msida 6.
