Mosta collected three precious points as they came from behind to beat Marsaxlokk 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.
A win which puts Mosta in nith place, one behind Gzira and Naxxar and one ahead of Balzan and Santa Lucia. Marasxlokk, on the other hand, share the fourth place with Birkirkara.
Marsaxlokk forged ahead on the 29th minute when off a cross from the left, Nevin Portelli headed the ball home past goalkeeper David Udoh Akpan.
However ten minutes later, Precious Linus Tenebe crossed from the left and Henry Nwoga Chidera served Jamie Scerri with an overhead kick with the latter beating goalkeeper Marko Drobnjak with an angled shot from the right.
Nine minutes in the second half, Mosta went 2-1 ahead with Dao Ben Aziz heading the ball home off a corner from the right.
