Thirteen Premier League players suspended

Thirteen Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

The players are Nikola Braunovic and Triston Caruana (Balzan), Jackson Mendoza (Gzira), Claudio Bonanni (Hibs), Jacob Walker (Marsaxlokk), Christian Ndubuisi Nnaji (Mosta), Alessio Piazza (Santa Lucia), Gilberto Martins Leite Carrara and Nicholas Pulis (Sirens), Rashed Al Tumi and Denis Kouao (Sliema), Fernando Omar Barrientos and Santiago Ferraris (Valletta).

Naxxar official Omar Borg was also banned for one match.

In the BOV Challenge League, Alan Abela (Marsa), Jesus Andres Yepez Morlets (Melita), Rodolfo Soares (Zabbar), Shaun Bugeja (Zurrieq), Uzoma Eziukwu Nnaemeka (Msida) and Clyde Cumbo (St. Andrews) were handed a one-match ban.

Lija official Colin Ciantar was banned for two matches while Msida coach Neville Galea was suspended for one match.

On the other hand, in the IZIBET Amateur League, Gianluca Theuma (Mdina), Dylan Zarb (Mqabba), Melvin Busuttil, Gabriel Nazareno Mannino and Dunstan Zarb (Mtarfa), Isaac Schembri (Pembroke), Jordan Debattista (Rabat), Alexander Cauchi (Kirkop), Adrian Bonavia (Marsaskala), Ivan Bojovic and Dylan Grima (St. George’s) were all banned for one match.
