Luke Montebello doubled the score two minutes from the end of the first half with a first-time effort following a good move and a fine cross by Jonny from the right.

In added time, before the end of the first half, Juan Corbalan made it 3-0, hitting home off a Joseph Mbong cross from the left.

Hamrun extended the lead on the 70th when off a cross by Jonny from the right, Luke Montebello hit home from close range.

Montebello could have added another on the 82nd minute when Hamrun were awarded a penalty following a foul on Seth Paintsil inside the area. However substitute goalkeeper Dylan Ciappara neutralised his attempt.

Four minutes from time, Hamrun were reduced to ten men after Steve Borg was sent off for a foul on Gianluca Sciberras.
