Newly appointed FIFA referee Joanna Vassallo was handed her first international appointments as she was entrusted to be part of the officiating team for the UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship 2024 Round 2 Group A5 being played in the Netherlands.

Vassallo controlled the match between Spain and Turkey on Thursday and will act as fourth official in the match between the Netherlands and Turkey on Saturday. On Wednesday, she will be controlling the match between Turkey and Ukraine.
