Birkirkara won the BNF Women’s Under-16 after defeating Valletta 6-1 in the final at the Kirkop Ground on Sunday.

Lauren Micallef and Hailey Micallef scored two goals each with Lara Azzopardi and Katrina Catania scoring the other two goals. Shanaia Mifsud scored the only goal for Valletta.

The Stripes made it to the final after defeating Santa Lucia 5-0 and San Gwann, who had eliminated champions Hibernians on penalties, 5-0. Valletta, on the other hand, made it to the final after defeating Swieqi United 4-1 and Lija Sliema 3-1.
