A goal by Gabriel Diego Farrugia on the 72nd minute handed Lija Athletic a narrow win over Zejtun Corinthians in a match from the BOV Challenge League Play-Out at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Friday.

Lija are therefore sure of playing in the Challenge League next season.

In fact, Lija lead the way in the Play-Out with 32 points, followed by Fgura on 31, Swieqi 28, Tarxien 27, Zejtun and Luqa 26, St. Andrews 18, Zebbug 17, Attard 14 and Msida 6.
