Sliema Wanderers hit six past Gudja United to qualify for European football

Sliema Wanderers returned to winning ways as they defeated Gudja United 6-0 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.

A win which enables them to secure a spot in the UEFA Conference League next summer after an absence of ten years.

Samuel Gomes da Mata converted a penalty on the 13th minute and one minute later, Mohamed Abdulahi Awad doubled the score. Joseph Minala made it 3-0 on the 18th and just before the end of the first half, Vito Plut scored the fourth goal. The Wanderers extended the lead six minutes in the second half through Myles Beerman and five minutes later, Geoffrey Acheampong scored the sixth goal.
