Floriana FC have announced that the contract of coach Mauro German Camoranesi and assistant coach Fernando Nowicki will not be renewed with mutual consent.

Camoranesi had joined the Greens last summer and although they were the main challengers for honours together with Hamrun Spartans. However they had to settle for the runner-up spot in the BOV Premier League and lost the IZIBET FA Trophy final to Sliema Wanderers on penalties.

A former player of Aldosivi in Argentina, Santos Laguna in Mexico, Montevideo Wanderers in Uruguay, Banfield in Argentina and Cruz Azul in Mexico, Verona and Juventus in Italy, Stuttgart in Germany, Lanus and Racing Club in Argentina, winning the World Cup with Italy in 2006, Mauro German Camoranesi started coaching Coras de Tepic in Mexico and then led Tigre in Argentina and Cafetaleros in Mexico, Tabor Sežana and Maribor in Slovenia and then assistant manager of Olympique de Marseille.
