Newly-promoted Melita signed twenty six year old midfielder David Xuereb.

Xuereb started his career at Mellieha before joining Hibernians with whom he made his Premier League debut. He had spells on loan with Senglea Athletic and Zejtun Corinthians before joining Marsa last summer.

Melita had earlier confirmed coach Clive Mizzi and agreed new deals with Henrique Motta, Santiago Martinez, Jesus Yepez, Karl Mohnani, Nick Cutajar and Matthew Debattista.
