The Futsal Malta Association successfully organized the Enemed Futsal Awards where several players and officials were rewarded for season 2023/24.
Maicon Silva of Luxol was selected as the Best Enemed Premier League Player while Mark Zammit, also of Luxol, won the award for the best Maltese player. Guilherme Fonseca de Deus (University of Malta) finished as the top scorer.
The honour of the best goalkeeper went to Clint Mifsud of Luxol while Gabriel Dobre was voted as the best coach. Collin Sammut from the Maltese Under-19 selection won the award for the most promising youngster.
In the Enemed Challenger League, Stefi Cale of Ta’ Xbiex Izola Bank was chosen as the best player with Amir Ashtiyani finishing as the top scorer.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Carneiro of Swieqi United Futsal was selected as the best player in the Enemed Women’s League while Lija’s Irena Drugovic ended up as the best scorer of the competition.
Finally the Maltese national futsal team won the President’s Awards after the historic qualification to the Main Round of the UEFA Futsal EURO.
