Women’s national team eager to bounce back after narrow defeat

The Malta women’s national team faces Bosnia and Herzegovina for the second time in five days, facing them at the FF BH Football Training Centre in Zenica.

On Friday, a last-gasp goal handed Bosnia and Herzegovina the first points in Group B3.

Head coach Manuela Tesse expressed her disappointment, explaining how the match would have taken a different direction had Malta scored from a chance created a few minutes before conceding the goal that decided the contest.

“It’s always tough when things don’t go as planned, but setbacks can also lead to opportunities for growth.”

Tesse believes that Tuesday’s game against Bosnia and Herzegovina will be tough as the latter could move second in the group with a win.

Head coach Tesse is convinced that her players are disappointed and are eager to bounce back from Friday’s defeat.

“It’s often in these pressure moments that our team players can rally together and demonstrate their resilience.”

With determination and focus, the Malta Women’s Team can work towards achieving that much-needed victory to keep their chances alive as any other result would leave Malta at the bottom of the table with a risk of relegation back to League C.

The match will be broadcast on TVMSport+ at 16:00.
