Newly-promoted Melita secured the services of Spanish twenty five year old central defender Marc Van de Bovenkamp Font.

Van de Bovenkamp played for CD Onda, CD l’Alcora and UD Barbadas in Spain.

He is the second signing for Melita who had earlier secured the services of David Xuereb.

Melita had earlier confirmed coach Clive Mizzi and agreed new deals with Henrique Motta, Santiago Martinez, Jesus Yepez, Karl Mohnani, Nick Cutajar and Matthew Debattista.
