Balzan secured the services of twenty two year old goalkeeper Dylan Ciappara and twenty two year old midfielder Jake Engerer.

Ciappara started his career at Kirkop United before joining Mosta, with whom he made his PremierLeague debut. He also had a spell on loan with Santa Lucia.

A product of Melita, Engerer had spells at Cesena and Frosinone in Italy and Newport County in England before returning to the club from where he was transferred to Sliema Wanderers where he spent the last four years.

Balzan FC, who have appointed Dave Rodgers as their new coach, had earlier signed Jake Engerer and goalkeeper Dylan Ciappara while agreeing a new deal with Jan Busuttil.
