Naxxar Lions sign Kemmu Degran Jackson, four Brazilians

Naxxar Lions continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Jamaican twenty nine year old midfielder Kemmu Degran Jackson and four Brazilian players, namely twenty seven year old central defender Pedro Vitor Gualberto de Assis Barreto, twenty nine year old defensive midfielder Luan Sérgio Nascimento Dias de Almeida, twenty seven year old left back Westherley Garcia Nogueira and twenty four year old forward Matheus Frederico Lima Taumaturgo.

A product of the Phoenix All Stars in Jamaica, Jackson moved to Malta in 2016 to join Mosta. Later, he played for St. Andrews and Luxol St. Andrews Futsal, moving to Sirens in 2021, spending the last three years at the club.

Pedro Vitor played for Santa Alegre, Pouso Alegre, Sao Bernardo, Joinville, CVaminense, Uberlandia, Tabate and Valeriodoce in Brazil.

Luan Sergio is a product of Flamengo and later played for Bangu in Brazil before moving to Portugal where he played for Limianos, Montalegre and Canelas 2010.

Apart from a short spell with FC West Armenia in Armenia, Westherley Garcia Nogueira, better known as Caxambu, has always played in Brazil where he was on the books of SE Juventude, Sao Jose, Veranopolis, Lemense, Internacional, Resende, Caldense, Uniao Luziense, Sao Bento and Juventus SP.

Matheus Taumaturgo used to play for Lusitano SAD in Portugal and Bremnes IL in Norway apart from Maranhao, Queimadense, EC Flamengo and Altos in Brazil.

The Lions, who have confirmed George Vella as their coach, had earlier signed Kemmu Degran Jackson, Matheus Taumaturgo, Luan Dias, Pedro Vitor, Caxambu, Nikolai Micallef, Myron Micallef, Matthias Fenech, Kayne Haber and Kane Abela and confirmed Japanese duo Yasukaze Ito and Takuma Yamaguchi, Edson Cerquiera Farias and Neil Pace Cocks.
