Birkirkara FC secured the services of Argentinian thirty two year old midfielder Pablo Leonel Gaitán.

Gaitan played for AMSD Atlético de Rafaela and CA Unión in Argentina and Club General Díaz de Luque in Paraguay before moving to Romania where he played for ACSM Politehnica Iasi, FC Buzău and SC Otelul Galati

Birkirkara, who have appointed Stefano De Angelis as their new coach, had earlier signed Shaun Dimech, Maicon, Manuel Morello, Laton, Leandro Lacunza, Agustin Sandona and goalkeeper Giacomo Volpe.
