Sliema Wanderers secured the services of twenty three year old goalkeeper Cain Formosa and Brazilian twenty six year old forward Jonata de Oliveira Bastos.
A product of San Gwann, Formosa had a spell on loan with Mdina Knights before moving to Valletta in summer 2021 although he spent another season on loan at San Gwann. He returned to Valletta in summer 2022 but was released towards the end of 2023, joining Santa Lucia last January.
Jonata, on the other hand, is a product of Clube de Regatas but also played for EC Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte before moving to Portugal to join Estoril Praia in Portugal. He also had a spell on loan at Braga before moving to Alverca. Later he moved back to Brazil to join Vila Nova. However Jonata returned to Portugal to join Oliveirense, moving to Visakha FC in Cambodia last summer.
The Wanderers had earlier signed Cain Attard, Adam Magri Overend, Steve Pisani, Simon Zibo, Serginho, Stanley Ohawuchi and Josip Bender.
