Lucas Caruana

Lucas was born in Pieta, Malta, on September 24th, 2005. He currently plays for the Hibernians as a midfielder, having previously played for Sampdoria U19 in the 2022-2023 season. He has 13 caps for the Malta U19, scoring one goal in that period.

In his club career with Hiberbians, he has played 18 games, scoring on two occasions during that period. He has yet to receive a call-up for the national team, but his progress over the years shows that it is just a matter of when and not if.

He made his debut for the Malta U19 team at the age of 17 and has been outstanding to watch since then. His first club goal for the Hibernians came in late January this year, with his debut in the FA Cup Malta in early February.

Sven Xerri

At only 19 years old, Sven Xerri is making an impact on the Hamrun Spartan’s defense. He has already played three matches this season, all of which have been solid and phenomenal. He was particularly impressive in their home game against Zabbar St. Patrick, where his ball control was outstanding when under pressure, and his recovery after losing the ball.

Last season, he played for Santa Lucia, where he left after making 27 appearances in the one season that he was there. He has so far made 11 appearances for Hamrun Spartans, with a club goal still to come. A feat, given his age and playing position, is understandable.

He has played twice for the U21 national team, with 10 caps for the national U19 team. This year, he made his debut in an international club competition by playing in the Conference League Qualifiers in July. With his speed, physicality, and composure, Sven is a top talent to watch.

Nathan Cross

Nathan Cross is an attacking talent in the Maltese League who has greatness written all over him. He only needs to keep his discipline, work hard in training, and listen to his coaches because there’s no doubt he has the talent.

The 19-year-old attacking sensation currently plays for Birkirkara as a left winger, a position he plays with natural ease. His attacking and reaction when the team loses the ball are impressive. He has not yet found the net when playing for his club, but he has scored one goal for the U19 national team.

Although he has had little game time for his club and few caps for the U19 national team, the few times he has been on the field, he has shown that he is a player destined for greatness.
