Floriana FC signed Brazilian twenty six year old defensive midfielder Emerson Santos de Souza.

Emerson Souza started his career at Rio Branco and then had a spell in Portugal with FC Porto and Fafe. He returned to Brazil to play for PSTC, Operario, Bragantino, CS Esportiva, Londrina, Sampaio and Santa Cruz and following a spell with Al Naft in Iraq, he played for Concordia and Caxias in Brazil

The Greens, who have appointed Darren Abdilla as coach, had earlier signed goalkeepers Christoffer Mafoumbi and Saul Gracia, Fernandinho, Anthony Obonogwu, Thiaguinho Santos and Franklin Sasere.
