Marcolini names Malta squad ahead of Moldova, Andorra UEFA Nations League matches

Malta coach Michele Marcolini has announced his 26-man squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures, where Malta will be facing Moldova and Andorra in the first two matches from League D Group 2 away from home.

Malta faces Moldova on September 7 at the Stadionul Zimbru in Chisinau, kick-off at 18:00, and then Andorra three days later at the Estadi Nacional Andorra la Vella, kick-off at 20:45.

The squad features some new faces, including Ħamrun Spartans defender Mattias Ellul, who has earned his first call-up to the national team and Jake Vassallo, although previously named in the preliminary squad, has now made it to the final selection for the first time. Adam Magri Overend and Bjorn Kristensen, who had missed the June international window, are back in squad.

Enrico Pepe, Steve Borg, Juan Corbalan, Jake Grech, Matias Garcia, Dunstan Vella and Alex Satariano who were in the Malta squad for the friendly matches against Czechia and Greece are missing while Jodie Jones is once again a notable absentee.
