UEFA Regions Cup: Maltese team defeated 3-0 by Rijeka

The team representing Malta in the UEFA Regions Cup lost 3-0 to Rijeka of Croatia in a match from Group 8 of the Intermediate Round at the Stadio Giuseppe Sivori in Sestri Levante, Italy on Tuesday.

The team, led by Shaun Bajada, is made up of Gozitan players.

Marino Matković put Rijeka ahead on the 9th minute and Domagoj Prizmić doubled the score on the 34th. Mate Ivetić sealed the issue with a third goal on the 76th.

The second game is against hosts Liguria on Friday and the last is against the Romanian Amateur Football Squad on Monday.
