Narrow defeat for Valletta in UEFA Youth League

Valletta suffered a narrow defeat to FC Honka of Finland in the first leg of the Domestic Champions path first round of the UEFA Youth League at the Myyrmäki Stadium in Vantaa, Finland on Wednesday.

Led by coach Johann Scicluna, the team is made up of players aged eighteen and younger, including players who already made their Premier League debut last season like Jake Azzopardi, Zak Barbara, Peter Ohaka and Keyon Ewurum.

The hosts scored the only goal on 71 minutes courtesy of Arez Goshnaw.

The second leg wil be played at the Centenary Stadium on October 2. The winner will face Auxerre in the second round.
