Valletta registered a third win in as many matches the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Zurrieq 1-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
Andrei Ciolacu scored the all-important goal after just seven minutes.
Marsa returned to winning ways as they beat Fgura United 2-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Michael Gatt put Fgura ahead on the 4th minute but just before half-time, Lydon Micallef levelled matters with the same player notching the winner on the 67th.
Senglea Athletic defeated Mtarfa 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium.
Terence Vella put Senglea ahead on the 56th and doubled the score on the hour with. Eric Mensah pulling one back on the 66th.
At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Mgarr United beat St. Andrews 2-1. Clive Gauci put Mgarr ahead on the 5th minute and although Carlos Henneberg equalised on the 61st, Joseph Paul Zammit notched a dramatic winner four minutes in added time.
Valletta lead the way with 9 points, followed by Marsa, Tarxien and Swieqi on 6, Senglea 5, Mgarr and St. Andrews 4, Pieta’, Gudja, Fgura, Zurrieq and Sirens 3, Zebbug 2, Mtarfa, Santa Lucia and Lija 0.
