Under-21s off to Hungary and Spain for last two qualifiers

Malta U21 Coach Ivan Woods has announced his final travelling squad for the upcoming UEFA European U21 Championship Qualifiers, reducing the roster from 28 to a 23-man squad.

Malta will first take on Hungary on Thursday 10th October 2024 at 20:00hrs at the Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium in Budapest, Hungary. After that, Malta will then play another away match, this time around against Spain on Tuesday 15th October 2024 at 18:00hrs at the Municipal Nuevo Mirador in Algeciras, Spain. These two games will serve as the final fixtures of Group B of the UEFA European U21 Championship Qualifiers.

The final 23-man squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers – Matthias Debono (Naxxar Lions FC), Hugo Sacco (Hibernians FC), Dylan Ciappara (Balzan FC).
