Midfielder Dylan Scicluna, who plays for Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia, has been ruled out of the upcoming international window due to injury.

Scicluna, who was set to join the Malta senior squad for the first time, had to withdraw after sustaining an ankle injury in Western Sydney Wanderers’ recent 4-1 league victory over Newcastle Jets.

Scicluna will have a scan the coming days to assess the full extent of the injury. He will remain in Australia to focus on his recovery.
