Andrew Cohen stepped down from the post of Gzira United head coach following the team’s failure to make it to the Top 6 of the 360Sports Malta Premier Opening Round.

Cohen had joined the Maroons as a player in January 2017 and was eventually appointed assistant coach. Following the departure of coach Darren Abdilla last January, Cohen took over as coach.

Last Thursday in a decisive match against Hamrun Spartans, Gzira were just minutes away from securing a Top 6 finish but two late goals handed the Spartans a 2-1 win.
