Kurt Borg scored four as Victoria Hotspurs defeated Ta’ Xbiex 6-0 at the Sirens Stadium to register a sixth win in the IZIBET Amateur League 2 on Sunday.
Borg opened the score on the 14th and ten minutes later, Ferdinando Apap doubled the score. Borg scored again on the 31st and three minutes later, Emmanuel Mbong made it 4-0. Kurt Borg converted a penalty five minutes from the end of the first half, scoring another goal on the 66th.
At the Luxol Stadium, Dingli Swallows beat Santa Venera Lightnings 5-1 Nicholas Zammit put Dingli ahead on the 22nd. Ronaldinho Daley doubled the score on the 57th and Zammit made it 3-0 on the 73rd. The Lightnings reduced the gap thanks to Jorge Carreno on the 79th but goals by Sven Fabri on the 85th and Daley on the 92nd sealed the issue for the Swallows.
On the other hand, goals by Neil Magri on the 4th and Andres Tenorio on the 61st handed Mqabba a 2-0 win over Kalkara United at the Sirens Stadium.
