Attard moved top in the IZIBET Amateur League 1 as they defeated Kirkop United 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday
Josmar Galea put Attard ahead on the 23rd and four minutes later, Bledi Alla converted a penalty to double the score. Matthew Borg reduced the gap five minutes from time.
Qrendi defeated Pembroke Athleta 3-2 in another match.
Jean Claude Vella ptu Qrendi ahead on the 27th and Leo Salgado doubled the score three minutes later. Ryan Sciberras reduced the gap on the 78th but Leo Salgado made it 3-1 on the 86th altough Sciberras scored another goal for Pembroke on the 90th.
Attard lead the way with 18 points, followed by Birzebbuga and Vittoriosa on 16, Luqa 15, Xghajra 14, San Gwann 13, Qormi and Qrendi 12, Mellieha 8, Kirkop 6, Gharghur and Pembroke 3, Msida and Zejtun 2, Marsaskala 1 and Rabat 0.
