In a clash between the winners of the Opening Round Top 6 and the team finishing at the bottom of the Bottom 6, Floriana found no difficulty in beating Naxxar Lions 4-0 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium in the 360Sports Malta Premier Closing Round.
Floriana managed to take the lead on 18 minutes when Jake Grech had a shot from the right by Febono and Carlo Zammit Lonardelli was quick to hit home as Owen Portelli failed to clear the ball into safety.
Two minutes from the end of the first half Floriana doubled the score when off a Jake Grech freekick from the left Owen Spiteri flicked the ball home past Debono.
Eight minutes in the second half, the Greens made it 3-0 thanks to Franklin Sasere who hit home when served by Gonzalo Gamarra from the left.
Florians scored the fourth goal on 67 minutes as the Naxxar defence lost possession on the right and a good move between Garcia, Vella and Grech ended with Franklin Sasere receiving the ball on the left before slotting the ball past Debono.
