Floriana, Gzira United, Hibernians, Zabbar St. Patrick, Challenge League sides Fgura United and Valletta and Gozitan side Qala Saints were the last seven teams to reach the Round of 16 of the Meridianbet FA Trophy as the remaining matches from the Round of 32 were played on Sunday.
Floriana beat Xewkija Tigers 2-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Fernandinho put Floriana ahead on 36 minutes and four minutes in added time, Franklin Sasere doubled the score.
The Greens will be facing Victoria Hotspurs in the next round.
Gzira United found no difficulty in beating Challenge League side Gudja United 5-0 at the Centenary Stadium.
Gabriel Mentz put the Maroons ahead on 11 minutes and Lucas Macula doubled the score ten minutes in the second half. Zachary Scerri extended the lead on 72 minutes with Mentz adding another on 79 minutes. Macula made it 5-0 ten minutes from time.
In the Round of 16, Gzira will be facing Valletta.




In fact, Valletta defeated SK Victoria Wanderers 4-0 at the Centenary Stadium.
James Scicluna put the Citizens ahead on 32 minutes and Enoch Mushagala scored twice on 52 and 80 minutes. Jefferson Ferreira added another six minutes from time.












Hibernians defeated Zebbug Rangers 3-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Miullen put the Paolities ahead four minutes from the end of the first half and Khevin Fraga doubled the score on 58 minutes and Alex Bruno sealed the issue with a third goal o 76 minutes.
In the Round of 16, Hibernians will be facing Gozitan side Qala Saints.
In fact, Qala registered a 2-0 win over Challenge League side St. Andrews at the Gozo Stadium.
Two goals within the first seventeen minutes by Christian Mercieca on 10 minutes and Igor Nedeljkovic were enough for Shaun Bajada’s side.
Zabbar St. Patrick defeated Challenge League side Lija Athletic 5-0 at the Centenary Stadium.
David Oliveira opened the score on 15 minutes and went on to double the score nine minutes in the second half. Diogo Tavares increased the lead on 65 minutes and Marcelo Santos added another eight minutes later. David Oliveira completed his hat-trick one minute from time for a final 5-0 score.
The Saints will be facing Hamrun Spartans in the next round.
Fgura United came from behind as they defeated Amateur League side Attard 3-1 at the Centenary Stadium.
Nicholas Schembri put Attard ahead on 32 minutes but Timilehin Caleb Akande equalised one minute in the second half. An own goal ten minutes from time put Fgura ahead and Innocent John Awori sealed the issue with a third goal.
In the Round of 16, Fgura would be meeting Birkirkara.
Round of 16 matches are scheduled for February 4 to 6. The quarter-finals should be played on March 4 and 5, the semi-finals on May 10 and 11 or 13 and 14 the final on May 17 or 18.
