Local futsal champions Luxol St Andrew’s maintained sole leadership in the Enemed Futsal League table after beating the Maltese Under-17 selection 18-0.
Gabriel Dobre’s boys dominated this match. Luke Gatt was the author of a poker, Jefferson Breno and Maicon notched hat-tricks while Nathan Cope scored twice. Jhon Castro Pulido, Emil Raducu, Victor Oliveira Dias, Mark Zammit and Andy Mangion scored the other goals for Luxol.
Ta’ Xbiex stay second after winning the clash with University of Malta 6-3.
After being a goal down, the team from Ta’ Xbiex reacted well to turn the score in their favour and eventually win the game.
Redeemer Borg scored twice for Ta’ Xbiex while Giancarlo Sammut, Juan Bautista Conde, Sebastian Obando and Matthew Buhagiar scored the other goals.
Andre Cachia, Luke Anthony Borg and Mohamed Elamari replied for UoM.
Hamrun SC NCMB got their fourth win of the season after beating GZR Birżebbuġa 4-3.
Hamza Harrat, Collin Sammut, Gia Nikvashvili and Dale Vella scored the goals for Ħamrun while GZR Birżebbuġa found the net through a brace from Armando Gjepali and Nikola Milenkoski.
