Hibernians returned to winning ways as they defeated Sliema Wanderers by the odd goal in five in the 360 Sports Malta Premier Closing Round at the National Stadium on Friday.
Hibs, therefore, obtained their second win in four matches to join the Wanderers in joint-third place with them. For Sliema, this was the second defeat.
Hibernians took the lead 17 on minutes when Lucas Villela pounced on a long distance through ball and advanced into the area before slotting the ball past Emeka.
Sliema levelled matters four minutes later when off a Steve Pisani freekick, Vito Plut headed the ball home past goalkeeper Hugo Sacco.
However the Paolites regained the lead on 24 minutes with a cross shot from the left by Apostolos Martinis which surprised Emeka.
Six minutes in the second half, Hibernians extended the lead when in a counter attack, Khevin Fraga exchanged the ball with Alex Bruno on the right before slotting the ball past the Sliema goalkeeper.
Sliema reduced the gap on 64 minutes thanks to Maksym Pryadun who hit home from close range following an assist from the right.
