Clint Tabone names women’s Under-16 squad ahead of UEFA Development Tournament

Malta Women’s U16 Coach Clint Tabone has named a 20-player squad for the upcoming UEFA Women’s U16 Development Tournament, set to take place next week.

The Maltese team will be taking on Ghana, Latvia and Northern Ireland in a series of matches to be played at the Centenary Stadium, Ta’ Qali, over the coming days.

Malta will first face Ghana on Tuesday 4th March at 10:00hrs, before then taking on Latvia on Thursday 6th March at 13:30hrs. Malta will conclude the tournament with a match against Northern Ireland on Sunday 9th March, with kick-off at 13:30hrs.

UEFA Development Tournaments seek to promote the development of players rather than the competition itself, acting more as a platform for national associations to give international experience to young players. This tournament will also serve as an opportunity for the teams to prepare themselves for the UEFA U17 qualifiers.

All of Malta’s games will be broadcast live on the Malta FA YouTube channel.
