Valletta secured promotion to the Malta Premier after defeating Tarxien Rainbows 3-0 in a match from the BOV Challenge League Top 6 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
Andrei Ciolacu put the Citizens ahead on 16 minutes. Enoch Mushagalusa doubled the score six minutes later and Jake Azzopardi sealed the issue with a third goal four minutes in the second half.











Pieta’ Hotspurs leapfrogged Marsa, beating them 5-2 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Gaols by Thomas Melillo on 10 minutes and Kian Leonardi on 21 minutes put the Hotspurs two goals ahead. Daneel Abela increased the lead on 63 minutes and one minute later, Hidesato Ueda added another. Jake Engerer reduced the gap for Marsa on 67 minutes but Ueda scored another for Pieta’. Engerer converted a penalty for Marsa five minutes from time.
Meanwhile in a match from the Play-Out, Senglea Athletic and Gudja United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. , goals by Veljko Tasic for Gudja on the 28th and George Tetteh Attram on 53 minutes for Senglea.
