The Malta National Team’s European Qualifying campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off this month!
Malta is set to kickstart its adventure in Group G with a home match against Finland on Friday 21st March 2025. The encounter will be played at the National Stadium, Ta’ Qali, with kick-off at 20:45hrs.
This match will also mark the start of new Head Coach Emilio De Leo’s tenure leading the Malta National Team. De Leo was announced as the new Head Coach and Technical Director of the Malta National Teams in January, with him being joined by Ivan Woods, Pietro Matafora and Mirko Valdifiori as his assistants.
De Leo will be looking to get the team off to a great start in Group G , where Malta has been drawn against Finland, Poland, Lithuania and the losing team of UEFA Nations League QF1, which is either Spain or the Netherlands.
As the team commences its qualifying campaign, ticket sales for the match against Finland have now gone live!
Malta’s official support group, the South End Core, will be present at Millennium Stand D, ready to give their all to drive the team forward, while also promising a thrilling atmosphere!
