Hamrun Spartans will be facing Hibernians in the semi-finals of the Meridianbet FA Trophy as the Paolites defeated Naxxar Lions 2-0 in the last quarter-final on Thursday.

Hibs took the lead on 12 minutes when Silas Alfred Hamanojda released Lucas Villela on the left and the latter rounded a defender before beating goalkeeper Andre Fenech with a fine shot.

Twelve minutes in the second half, Hibernians doubled the score when Khevin Fraga served Miullen on the left and the latter rounded a defender before beating the Naxxar custodian with a diagonal shot.

Hamrun had defeated holders Sliema Wanderers 2-0 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile in the other semi-final, Birkirkara will be facing Floriana. The Stripes beat Valletta 3-1 after extra-time while the Greens eliminated Mosta, beating them 2-0.
