Birzebbuga St. Peter’s registered a fine 3-0 win over Vittoriosa Stars in a match from the IZIBET Amateur League 1 Top 6 at the Sirens Stadium.
Christopher Mario Baker put the Saints ahead on 33 minutes and just before the end of the first half, Samuel Saldanha doubled the score. Yusuf Abdullahi Sulaiman sealed the issue with a third goal one minute from time.
On the other hand, leaders San Gwann were beaten 0-2 by Xghajra Tornados in another match at the Sirens Stadium thanks to goals by Richmond Baratuipre Hanson on 79 minutes and Raylon Kaylon Paisley five minutes in added time.
San Gwann lead the way with 39 points, followed by Birzebbuga and Vittoriosa on 37, Xghajra 34, Luqa 33 and Attard 29.
In the Play-Out, Qormi defeated Msida St. Joseph 3-1 at the Charles Abela Stadium. Leon Borg put Qormi ahead on 6 minutes. Cadu converted a penalty on 16 minutes and David King Joachim converted another penalty three minutes later. Moustafa Robert Malool reduced the gap four minutes from the end of the first half.
Qrendi beat Marsaskala 3-1 at the Luxol Stadium. Brandon Bray put Qrendi ahead on 8 minutes adn Ayesller Carvalho doubled the score two minutes in the second half. Joshua Ojhelabi reduced the gap on 61 minutes but Carvalho made it 3-1 three minutes from time.
Zejtun Corinthians extended their positive run thanks to a 3-0 win over Pembroke Athleta at the Charles Abela Stadium. Gillmore Azzopardi put the Corinthians ahead on 5 minutes and Stefi Cale scored twice on 17 and 88 minutes.
At the Luxol Stadium, Mellieha defeated Kirkop United 2-1. Marc Bolane Adonis converted a penalty on 6 minutes to put Mellieha ahead, Quelin Micallef equalised on 26 minutes but Alexander Akl made it 2-1 three minutes in the second half.
In another match at the Sirens Stadium, Gharghur beat Rabat Ajax 3-0 thanks to an own goal two minutes in the second half and a brace by Nobukatsu Tsuchiya on 68 and 92 minutes.
