Naxxar Lions’ versatile Brazilian forward Edson Farias has been named the LifeStar Most  Valuable Player for February. 

Farias played a crucial role in Naxxar’s recent progress, leading them to two February vital victories, 2-1 against Birkirkara and 5-2 against Melita, indeed in same month selected MVP in the unlucky derby defeat against Mosta. 

His contribution and brilliant performances are offering Lions hope of avoiding  bottom place. 

Edson received six votes out of 26 submitted, with four other players – Yuri Messias  & Alex Tank (Marsaxlokk), Yepez Morlets (Melita), and Alex Satariano (Birkirkara),  each receiving two votes. 

The award was presented to Farias on Sunday before Naxxar’s match against  Hibernians at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, by LifeStar Insurance CEO Roberto Apap  Bologna.
